Liquid adhesives play a critical role in battery solutions, streamlining the manufacturing and assembly of EV batteries. They enhance structural integrity, thermal management, and overall performance while enabling precise application, automation, and multi-functional bonding. Key benefits include shock and vibration absorption, sealing and bonding in one step, material compatibility, thermal expansion compensation, and weight reduction.

Bonding Applications: 

  • Cell Bonding: Adhesives securely bond battery cells into modules or packs, ensuring stability and even thermal stress distribution.
  • Module Assembly: They reinforce battery modules, preventing movement and vibration while maintaining structural integrity.

Sealing Applicaions:

  • Battery Pack Encapsulation: Adhesives seal and protect battery packs from moisture, dust, and contaminants.
  • Lid & Case Sealing: They create airtight seals on casings and lids, preventing moisture ingress while maintaining durability.

Thermal Management:

  • Traditional Thermal Interface Materials (TIMs)—such as silicones, greases, waxes, and pressure-sensitive adhesives—offer little to moderate mechanical strength.   • Thermal Insulation: Most adhesives naturally insulate heat and electricity, unless enhanced with conductive fillers.
